Community Involvement

David Casper’s notable community involvement stretches back to 1985, when he founded the Ronald McDonald Celebrity Golf Tournament in Waconia, Minnesota, a tradition that continues to this day. He also enjoys supporting the Big Brother/Big Sister organization and helping various charities in fundraising efforts.

And of course, because of David Casper’s role as a starter for Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish football team, and because he graduated from there cum laude with a degree in economics, David Casper always stays close to the Notre Dame family.

David has been formally recognized twice for his outstanding commitment to community service. In 1993, he was the recipient of the the GTE Academic Hall of Fame for Outstanding Career Achievement and Contributions to the Community. He also was one of only six to receive the 1999 NCAA Silver Anniversary Award for living a life of distinction.
